Wax Products
Once honey is extracted, the capping wax pieces are filtered, melted, and cleaned, then used in our poured candles and other wax products. Beeswax candles burn longer than paraffin or soy candles due to its higher melting point. (Beeswax melts at 143*, while paraffin and soy-based wax melts at 115* and 118* respectively.) A cleaner candle, using a cotton wick and no artificial scents or dyes. When burned in a draft-free area, our candles drip considerably less than petroleum-based alternatives.

A great way to reduce waste in the home is by using beeswax food wraps instead of disposable plastics to cover food. These reusable wraps are made from cotton infused with our beeswax, organic jojoba oil, and tree resin, and they offer antibacterial properties. With proper care, they can last up to 6 months. Available in singles or multi-packs such as small (7x7"), medium (10x10"), or large (10x16"), as well as a 3pc multi-pack (one of each size) and a 4pc variety-pack (2 small/1 medium/1 large)

"Bear Turds" - slumgum fire starter

Slumgum is the old brood comb that has been retired after years of dedicated use by the bees. These combs, which contain remnants of wax and leftover cocoons, are scraped from the frames and replaced with new foundation. The pieces of comb are shaped to resemble their namesake, making them the perfect fire-starter for your fireplace, wood stove, or outdoor fire pit. Please note that they are not suitable for use in pellet stoves. Each bag contains 7-10 'turds,' varying by size.
